What and Where

These are some events and places to take photos in and around Kershaw County.

Downtown  Camden is a good place to start your photographic jouney.  There are historic houses along Broad and Lyttleton as well as monuments and various bits of architecture and chances for abstracts, or details for macrophotography.

 

Historic Camden has many opportunities for photography throughout the year.  There is a nature trail for those who are not thrilled with history and the first weekend in November the site plays host to Revolutionary War Days with 2 period camps and re-enactors fighting it out on the grounds with muskets and cannons.

There are two steeplechase events each year in Camden. Whether you want to photograph people or action you can find something to photograph at each of these events.  Each event has 6 or 7 races during the day usually starting around 1:00pm but exact race times and dates can be found on the page that is linked to the picture.
